Get on the right track with your writing

Here’s a unique opportunity to get the creative juices flowing. I’m joining artist Debra Tracey of Isle be Creative on a train trip with a difference, and you’re invited.

This full day out includes return travel on the Isle of Man’s historic steam railway, lunch and a goodie bag. I’ll be delivering workshops and offering feedback, and there’s plenty of writing time at our Port Erin venue.

A new saga series

My latest book news is that my publisher has revealed the cover for a new three-novel saga series – The House of Help for Friendless Girls. The first novel in the series (pictured) is The House of Hope.

This series is based on a real institution catering for destitute women and girls in 1880s Sheffield, that remained open – with a couple of name changes – for a hundred years. Readers of my first saga series – The Sheffield Sagas – might recognise one or two characters who make an appearance here.

You can pre-order The House of Hope now, in paperback, from your favourite bookshop. It’s also available on Kindle, and will be coming soon in audiobook and large print.
